Pre-Event Promotions:
Invite customers to the event using a direct mailer, telemarketing, and/or tagging your advertising prior to the event.  Facebook is a wonderful way to connect with your clients and  update them on where you will be.
 
Dress:
Take cue from your customers. Dress the same or slightly better so you won't appear intimidating.
 
A Professional Exhibit:
All exhibits should be professional and inviting.
     - No handwritten signs
     - No clutter of boxes or paperwork
     - No food, drink or garbage in your exhibit
This is not a casual social event – It is a professional marketing opportunity
 
Be on your Toes:
Have knowledgeable staff on hand at all times to answer questions.
Be approachable, making eye contact to each person walking by or stopping.
Stand, don't sit - avoid giving them the impression you're lazy or don't care.
Don't read, eat or talk on the telephone - most customers are not comfortable interrupting.
 
Demonstrations/Show Specials:
If applicable, do a demonstration to show your product or service.
Offer discount coupons or show specials.
Conduct a prize drawing to qualify new prospects.
 
After the Show:
Immediately contact all prospects & customers who visited your exhibit. Don't let these leads go cold!
Analyze the results and build a database or "mailing list" for the future.
